Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 January 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FeedMechanic's website and app (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

FeedMechanic is operated by [Legal entity name] ("FeedMechanic", "we", "us", "our").
Contact: support@feedmechanic.com

2. The Service

FeedMechanic helps you analyse product/feed and account issues affecting Google Merchant Center and related shopping performance, and may provide fix previews and automation ("Autopilot") depending on your plan and permissions.

We do not guarantee approvals, ad delivery, performance, revenue, or compliance outcomes. Third-party platforms (e.g. Google) ultimately determine enforcement and serving.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract and have authority to connect the accounts you link (Google Merchant Center, Shopify, etc.).

You're responsible for:

  • keeping your login credentials secure,
  • all activity under your account,
  • ensuring your connected accounts remain compliant with their own policies.

4. Connected accounts, permissions, and Autopilot

A. Permissions

To run reports and provide features, you may authorise us to access data from third-party services via OAuth/API. You control these permissions and can revoke them at any time.

B. Autopilot

If you enable Autopilot, you authorise FeedMechanic to perform automated actions within the scope you grant (e.g. creating, updating, or suggesting changes via connected services). Autopilot may be limited by platform policies, API availability, and your configuration.

You acknowledge:

  • automation can have unintended effects (e.g. changing product attributes may affect listings),
  • you are responsible for reviewing outputs where appropriate and for your overall catalogue compliance.

We will not make changes to your Shopify store or third-party accounts unless you enable features that require it and grant the relevant permissions.

5. Plans, fees, billing, and cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (e.g. monthly) unless stated otherwise.

Payments are processed by our payment provider (e.g. Stripe).

Taxes may apply depending on your location.

Cancellation: you can cancel at any time; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds: fees are non-refundable except where required by law, or as explicitly stated at purchase.

We may change pricing or plan features from time to time, with notice where required.

6. Trials, betas, and waitlists

Some features may be offered as beta/preview. Beta features are provided "as is" and may change or be discontinued.

If you join a waitlist, we may contact you about access and product updates. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service unlawfully or in violation of third-party terms (Google/Shopify/etc.),
  • attempt to bypass security, scrape, or reverse engineer the Service,
  • upload malicious code, interfere with systems, or overload infrastructure,
  • access data you do not have rights to,
  • use the Service to create or distribute spam or deceptive content.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

8. Your data and content

You retain ownership of your data. You grant FeedMechanic a limited licence to access, process, and display your data solely to provide and improve the Service.

You represent that you have all rights necessary to provide and connect the data you use with the Service.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including software, branding, and content (excluding your data), is owned by FeedMechanic and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works except as permitted by law or with our written permission.

10. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties (e.g. Google, Shopify). Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, changes, or enforcement actions taken by them.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation.

We do not warrant that:

  • all issues will be detected,
  • fixes will be available for every issue,
  • your products will be approved or ads will serve,
  • Autopilot will prevent disapprovals or policy actions.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • FeedMechanic will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data.
  • Our total liability for claims arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to FeedMechanic in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or £100 if you have not paid us).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold FeedMechanic harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your data, or your violation of third-party terms/policies.

14. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if:

  • you breach these Terms,
  • we must do so to comply with law,
  • your use poses a security or operational risk.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Certain sections (e.g. liability, IP, indemnity) survive termination.

15. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms over time. If changes are material, we'll take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer protection laws require otherwise.
